Call for Volunteers

We are looking for more volunteers to mingle with visitors to our gift shop and archives. We are open on Thursdays and Sundays from 1-4:30 pm and Fridays 9:30 am-2:30 pm, and would appreciate it if you could volunteer on Saturdays occasionally. Also, do you have expertise or interest in one or more of the following:

• Working with the local schools on Heritage Projects
  
• Talking with local Seniors to obtain stories/photos
  
• Giving 2-4 hours a month assisting
  with the heritage gift shop and archives
  
• Using computer skills to send messages,
  work on the Newsletter and correspondence
  
• Working on Archival projects
• Creating displays
• Assisting with research on our next Heritage book
  
• Assisting in obtaining grants and/or fund-raising projects
  
• Publicity experience
  
• Giving presentations to Brownies, Guides, Scouts and Seniors Groups
  
• Phoning committee Call and volunteer!

Your Membership is Important to Us!

"I forget if I joined this year" ... "I really will send you a cheque!" ... "I know it's not much money, I'll drop in to the office on Saturday."

I know everyone means well, and wishes us all the best, but very few of you made the effort to join last year. When January comes around it is time to renew your membership, or to join the Society again. Please fill out the form, and send it to us. We will send you your membership card for this year. We have expenses such as rent on our office, mailing and office expenses, display and classroom expenses. We are trying to write a new book about Deep Cove. Everything costs money, so please make the effort this year. You will have our heart-felt thanks. Please help us preserve and publicize our heritage in this beautiful part of the world.
